white

Don José Abascal (1743-1821) was crowned Marquis of Concord in Peru in 1812 by King Ferdinand VII of Spain, and recognized for his personal merits in the XXIV Viceroyalty of Peru (1806-1816). He was a man of his time (The Enlightenment), an intellectual from the army who carried out an important public work in Peru. He also pursued a reform in society and an advancement of knowledge in the vast territory and cities that he governed in the name of the King, making the Creoles and the metropolitan Spaniards work together. That's where the word "Concordia" comes from in its title.
