ORGANIC MONISTROL COUPAGE

Monistrol is one of the main wine producers, having established itself on the San Sadurni d'Anoia estate in 1882, in the heart of the Penedès, 40 km southwest of Barcelona. Since then, quality has been synonymous with the production of some of the best wines in Spain. We have been making wines since 1882, Monistrol wines being the new range of organic wines

DO CATALONIA

40% Red Garnacha, 30% Tempranillo and 30% Syrah

12% VOL.

Elaboration

From old goblet vineyards, with organic cultivation, poor soils, clays and boulders.

Manual harvest between September and October. Initial cold maceration and fermentation with maceration in truncated cone tanks at a temperature of 18 ºC. Great contact with the skin with pump-overs and delestages.

Twelve-month maceration in contact with the fine lines to round out the tannins.

Food match

Ideal to consume accompanied by cheese, ham and sausages, paellas, red meats, roasts and legumes.

Deep burgundy color with violet tones.

On the nose ripe black fruit, hints of ripe cherry and blackberry.

Powerful on the palate due to good acidity and black fruit, blueberries, plums and Cristobalina cherry. Soft tannins, rounded with the aging of the wine together with the fine fermentation lees.
